The future is bright for Elvis

Ballypatrick Liberty, known as Elvis in the stable, proved his capabilities at the British Showjumping young horse show, based in the quaint grounds of Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire on 19th-23rd August.

Excellently piloted by Harry Bateman, the 6 year old gelding ate up the fences in the arena, standing at a great height of one metre thirty. Having only started competing in January of this year, the inexperience of this horse compared to seasoned regulars at this height was unclear, which sets great hopes for his rider as well as owners Justine and Laura Smith for the future.

Harry is aiming to qualify this horse for the Newcomer final at the Horse of the Year Show, stating "he certainly has what it takes".
